It was painful at times, but I had to listen to Joe Biden’s press conference the other day.
Amid all the laughable claims of great success, one of his claims stood out for it’s sheer contempt for our representative form of government.
I’ve had five Republican senators talk to me, “bump into me” — quote, unquote — or sit with me, who’ve told me that they agree with whatever I’m talking about for them to do. “But, Joe, if I do it, I’m going to get defeated in a primary.”
We got to break that. That’s got to change.
The above is a direct quote from the official White House transcript of the press conference available here.
It seems plain to me that Biden wants Senators to ignore the desires of their constituents to help pass his agenda.
Can you think of anything more antithetical to government of, by, and for the people?
